Estapampado de rombos / Argyle print manicure (Nivel medio)

¿Qué tal chicas? ¿Cómo lleváis la semana? Yo voy entre estudios, idiomas y niños, ¡pero no me quejo! Hoy quiero enseñaros un estampado muy clásico, inspirado en los típicos rombos, esta vez en negro y rosa. Resulta bastante fácil de hacer, de hecho se consigue con sólo cuatro pasos.

Vamos a necesitar esmalte negro, blanco y rosa, además de un pincel para hacer líneas.

How you doing girls? Is this week being ok? I live among studies, languages and children, but I can't complain about it! Today I want to teach you how to do a classic argyle print, this time in pink and black. It's prettyeasy to do, actually you can get it infour steps.

We need black, pink and white polish, and a liner brush.

Comenzamos pintando las uñas de rosa (o del color que os guste)
Start painting the nails with pink polish (or another color that you want)

Ahora, hacemos líneas de color negro que se crucen  por la uña.
Now, make black stripes crossing the nail.

Rellenamos algunos rombos con color negro para lograr el patrón que estamos buscando.
Fill some rhombus with black polish to get the classic pattern.

Finalmente, volvemos a hacer líneas cruzadas en las uñas, esta vez de color blanco, que pasen (más o menos) por el centro de los rombos.

Finally, make new stripes, this time with white polish, across (more or less) the center of the rhombus.

Para terminar, aplicamos el top coat para proteger el diseño, y con estos cuatro pasos tenemos la manicura finalizada.

Add a top coat to protect the desing, and your manicure is complete.

Ya veis que es un diseño muy conocido, pero lo veo bastante original para una manicura, sobre todo en uñas cortas. Incluso usarla para una manicura francesa también estaría bien. ¿Qué opináis?

Manicura para San Valentín: besos / Valentine's nail art: lip prints (Nivel Medio)

¡Hola a todas! Y antes de nada...¡Feliz San Valentín! Cómo no, el diseño de hoy está inspirado en esta fecha, pero quería que fuese algo discreto. Así que he pensado en una manicura francesa y un toque más llamativo en el pulgar. Vamos a ver qué os parece.
Hi everyone! And Happy Valentine! So, guess what, today the manicure is inspired in this date. But I wanted to do something discrete. So I've thought about a french manicure and a special touch in the thumb. Let's see what do you think.

Vamos a usar esmaltes rosa, blanco y rojo, y un pincel fino.
We need pink, red and white polish, and a tiny brush.

Bien, comenzamos aplicando una base protectora y luego hacemos una manicura francesa simple de color rosa en todas las uñas salvo en la del pulgar.
Well, first start with a base coat and a simple pink french manicure, except on the thumb nail.

A la manicura francesa le hacemos una fina línea blanca.
Profile the french manicure with a white line.

 Y como último paso en la manicura francesa, hacemos un pequeño beso sobre ella, en uno de los lados. No es muy complicado, sólo asegúrate de definir bien la parte de arriba y darle un poco de separación a ambas partes. Tampoco hagas los bordes interiores muy definidos, mejor que queden irregulares.
And, as the last step fot the french manicure, make a little lip print over it, to the side. It is not a difficult step, just make sure to define nicely the upper part and keep the two parts separated. Try to make the borders irregularly too.

 A mí me gusta, aunque es opcional, ponerle un toque de blanco para darle "brillo".
I like to add a little white touch, to give them shine, but this is optional.

Ahora en el pulgar, vamos a dibujar un beso más grande. Aquí puedes ver mejor lo que decía de los bordes irregulares.
Now, make a bigger lip print on the thumb. Here you can see what I said about the irregular borders.

Puedes dejar el diseño así, o escribir algún mensaje encima. Yo he elegido el de "love you", en blanco.
You can leave the manicure like this, or to write a message over it. I've choosen "love you" in white.

Termina aplicando una base de top coat y habrás acabado la manicura.
Finish applying a base coat and the desing will be complete.

Ya veis que es una manicura muy sencilla y bastante clásica. ¡Decidme si os gusta!

Manicura rosa con adornos negros / Soft pink manicure with black swirls (Nivel Difícil)

¡Hola a todas! En esta entrada quiero enseñaros un diseño en apariencia muy sencillo, pero muy elegante, basado en el uso de adornos del tipo filigrana. Es el primer intento que he realizado, ¡no seáis muy duras conmigo!

Para hacerlo he usado:
- Esmaltes rosa claro y negro.
- Un pincel de mucha precisión.

Hi everyone! Today I want to show you a simple desing, but still elegant, using swirls ornamentations. It's my first try so, don't be harsh with me!

To do it, I'll use...
- Soft pink and black polish
- A very accurate brush.

Empiezo dando dos o tres capas del esmalte rosa por toda la uña.
I'll start applying two or three coats of pink, all over the nails.

Y ahora, con mucho cuidado, hacemos los primeros trazos del diseño en negro. Os aconsejo que busquéis alguna imagen por internet que os guíe y os de ideas para hacerlo, como ésta:

Now, carefully, make the base of the desing. I suggest you to look for a picture by internet, like this one:

 En este caso yo he enmarcado una esquina de cada uña, y rodeado por completo el dedo anular.
In my case, I've framed a corner in each nail, and the ring finger completely.

Acto seguido, añado algunos "rizos" y líneas curvas a la base, de la forma que más os guste.
Next step is to add some swirls and curve lines to the base, as you like.

 Y si quieres, puedes añadir algunos puntitos al final de los rizos. Finalmente, la manicura acaba de esta forma:

And if you want, add some dots at the swirls. Finally, this is the finnished desing.

¿Qué opináis? Para ser mi primera experiencia con estos dibujos creo que no está mal, pero vosotras tenéis la última palabra.

Manicura con periódico / Newspaper manicure (Nivel fácil)

¡Hola! Bueno, hoy os quiero enseñar una técnica muy sencilla pero muy original de decorar tus uñas. Puede que algunas de vosotras ya la conozcáis, es la manicura de "periódico". En resumen se trata de lograr el estampado de letras típicas de un periódico en nuestras uñas.


Hi everyone! Ok, so today I want to show you how to do a "newspaper" manicure. Maybe some of your already know this desing. To sum up, you have to print your nails with newspaper characters.

Para esta técnica vamos a necesitar los siguientes elementos:

- Un esmalte, el que elijas, como base.

- Un esmalte de brillo o base final para proteger el diseño.

- Trozos de papel de periódico recortados. (¡Mucho ojo con las palabras que tienen los trozos, no vaya a ser que aparezca alguna palabra desagradable!)

- Alcohol, como el que usamos para desinfectar.


We need...


- A color nail polish, that you want.
- A top coat.
- A pieces of newspaper (be careful with the words! I'm sure that you don't want rude words in your nails)
- Alcohol, 70º for example.

El proceso es muy sencillo, y lo podemos resumir en cuatro pasos:

Primero, aplica una base de color en tus uñas. Si quieres un efecto "de periódico" realista, usa blancos, grises o beiges, y si quieres algo más llamativo, usa cualquier otro color. Sin embargo, ten muy en cuenta que si usas tonos muy oscuros, las letras del papel no se verán bien. Yo esta vez he usado un rosa nude mi parecido a mi tono de piel.


It's a simple process, with four steps:


First, apply two coats of nails polish as a base. If you want a real effect, use white, grey or beige. And if you want a special effect, use bright colours, like pink, purple...
But note that with dark colours the word don't look clearly. I've used a nude pink.

Después, recorta los trozos de periódico, eligiendo la parte que más te guste, e imprégnalos bien en alcohol.


Then, cut the paper, choose you favourite part, and soak it in alcohol.

Ahora, pon el trozo de papel sobre la uña y presiona firmemente con un dedo durante unos 1o o 15 segundos. Retira con cuidado el papel y verás como las letras se tan traspasado a tu uña. Si te quedaron restos de tinta por el dedo, límpialos con un bastoncillo.


Aunque no te podido hacer fotos a este momento, ya que es muy rápido, os digo algunos consejos sobre cosas que he notad en mi experiencia.


- Presiona firmemente y sin frotar, balanceando el dedo que hace presión de lado a lado de la uña, pero sin desplazarlo (no sé si me explico bien...).
- Cuanto más fuerte presiones, más nítida y clara será la impresión. Si presionas menos lograrás un efecto "borrado", como antiguo.
- No aprietes mucho tiempo, o el esmalte se estropeará y el papel se pegará al mismo.
- No todos los alcoholes tienen el mismo efecto. El mejor es el etílico de 70º.
- Has los pasos rápidamente, pues el alcohol se seca muy deprisa.


Now, put the newspaper piece in your nail and press with a finger for 10 or 15 seconds. Remove the paper and you'll see how the words have been printed in the nail. Clean the nail border.


I couldn't take photos at that moment, because the step is really fast. But I can give you a little advices about my experience.


- You have to press firmly and do not rub. Balance your finger side to side..
- The most strong you press the paper, the most clearly appear the words. You can have a "vintage" look pressing just a little.
- Don't press much time, or the nail polish will be damaged.
- Every kind of alcohol gets a differente effect. The best is the wthyl one, 70º.
- The alcohol get dry really fast, do all the steps quickly.

Por último, aplica una capa de brillo para proteger en diseño.


Finally, apply a top coat to protect the desing.

Ya veis lo sencillo que resulta este diseño, y el acabado es, como mínimo, curioso, ¿verdad? Nos vemos en la próxima entrada, ¡un beso!

Estampado escocés (Nivel Fácil) / Scottish print

¡Hola chicas! Aquí os traigo otra manicura, esta vez inspirada en el típico estampado escocés. Puede que a primera vista el entramado se vea un poco complicado de hacer, pero es más fácil de lo que podáis pensar: sólo es necesario tener un buen pulso haciendo líneas rectas.

Para hacer este diseño vamos a necesitar tres colores y dos pinceles, uno para hacer líneas finas y otro para hacerlas un poco más gruesas. Los colores que he elegido son negro (éste es básico) y dos tonos de rosa, claro y oscuro (estos dos pueden cambiarse por dos tonos de cualquier color)

Hi girls! Today i want to show you how to do this desing, inspired by scottish print. May you think that all this pattern it's a little difficult, but it's easier than you think: you only need good pulse doing strokes.

To do this manicure we'll need 3 colours and two brushes, one for thin strokes and other for thick strokes. i've chosen black polish (this colour is basic this time) and bright and soft pink (they both can be changed for others).

Resumiendo el diseño, puedes hacer la manicura en cuatro pasos:

This manicure can be made in four steps:

Lo primero que hacemos es aplicar dos capas de rosa fuerte.

First, apply two coats of bright pink.

Cuando estén secas, vamos a hacer líneas bastante gruesas de color negro por toda la uña, de forma que se crucen entre ellas de forma perpendicular.

Once the polish is dry, make black thick strokes all over the nails, so as to cross perpendicularly.

Seguidamente, con el esmalte rosa claro, y el pincel fino, hacemos líneas en el centro de las franjas negras, de forma que estas también se crucen entre sí.

Now, take the soft pink and thin brush and make strokes in the middle of the black ones, crossing them too.

Y por último, de nuevo con el pincel fino, hacemos líneas negras por toda la uña, cruzándolas también y separadas de las líneas gruesas.

Finally, with the thin brush again, make strokes all over the nail, crossing them but separated from the wide ones.

 Y aquí está el resultado:

¿Qué os parece? Es algo fácil, pero a la vez original, y se le puede poner el color que queráis, o hacerlo en "negativo", es decir, la zona rosa en negro y la negra en rosa. Haced vuestras propias variaciones.
